In the Goddess Tarot, artist Kris Waldherr hoped to "create a tarot deck that would speak directly to women using our stories, while incorporating the archetypal power and symbols of the tarot." This deck celebrates the Divine Feminine by using goddess myths and imagery from many world cultures. Each major arcana card is assigned to a particular goddess who embodies that card's theme. The minor arcana cards depict the journey of "everywoman" as she follows the special path that suit represents: creativity and beauty (staves), love (cups), loss and redemption (swords) and prosperity (pentacles). There are two books to go with this deck: The Goddess Tarot and The Goddess Tarot Workbook. The Goddess Tarot is Waldherr's guide to the language and imagery in her deck and the workbook provides a resource and guide for writing down your insights about all the cards.
